Mighty Sound of Maryland

As Marketing Manager of the Mighty Sound of Maryland Marching Band at the University of Maryland, I managed 5 marketing team members. I delegated, created, and posted weekly social media content.

Since I started as manager, the marching band’s social media presence has nearly doubled its engagement. Last fall, Lil Nas X retweeted a video I cropped and posted of our band performing "Montero" and it got over 300,000 views! I raised over $35,000 for the band’s instrument fund through our social media campaign in March 2021 and again in 2022. This position has given me experience using Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, and TikTok in a professional arts marketing context, honing my skills in social media management and creative problem solving. From this job I gained experience in written, oral and interpersonal communication, as well as time management and project organization.
